About Aishani Yoga

Aishani Yoga is a holistic approach to yoga in Brisbane and online, created to support you in developing a consistent, personal, and integrated practice.

For me, yoga is not just something you do for an hour - it is a way of understanding and working with your body, mind, and emotions. It is about learning how to stop, look, feel, and reset yourself in a real and practical way.

It was then that I found my yoga teacher. What I encountered was not yoga as exercise, but yoga as a complete system - a way of living and understanding life. From that point, I began a daily practice that has continued for over 30 years.

Since then, yoga has remained a constant - through study, work, travel, and teaching. Today, I live between Brisbane and Tuscany, offering:

My Story

I was born and raised in the south of Germany, and from a young age I was drawn to the deeper questions of life, particularly around health, fairness, and why people experience life so differently.

After finishing high school, I studied pharmacy, herbalism, and naturopathy, believing that nature holds everything needed for wellbeing. But during this time, I began to notice how much the mind and emotions influence physical health, and how little this was understood or addressed.

My Approach

My approach to yoga is grounded, structured, and based on experience.

It is not about performance or quick results. Instead, the focus is on helping you build a practice that is consistent and sustainable - something you can carry into your daily life.

Whether you are just starting or have been practicing for some time, the aim is the same: to support you in developing awareness, balance, and a deeper understanding of yourself.

Yoga is a lifelong practice - not a fixed state, but a continuous movement toward balance.

“Sow love, reap peace. Sow meditation, reap wisdom.”

The Meaning of Aishani

The name Aishani came to me while reflecting on the essence of how I teach yoga.

It represents the idea of stopping, feeling, and resetting - physically, emotionally, and mentally.

The inspiration comes from the qualities associated with Durga: strength and softness, power and care, structure and nurturing. For me, this balance is at the heart of authentic yoga.

Aishani reflects the experience of living fully and completely, not through force, but through awareness and integration.

Whether you are new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice, this work is here to support you.

Yoga is a personal and evolving journey, and the role of guidance is simply to help you begin, and continue, with clarity and consistency.
